This Readme file contains Release Notes for the SpaceOrb 360
game controller, and the SpaceWare RealLife 3D Software, version 4.7
At the end of this file are the email, Web and ftp addresses for
contacting Spacetec IMC Corporation over the Internet.

Installation Procedures:

Windows 95 Installation
-----------------------
Copy Spc47.exe to a tempoary directory (a directory with no files in it). In windows explorer double click on the file Spc47.exe.  This will cause a group of files to appear in the temporary directory.  Double click on the file setup.exe and follow the instructions.


To run set up and DOS games
---------------------------
   1. Run the DOS Game Launcher in DOS, 
      a) From DOS: type SPACEBAL from your SpaceOrb directory
      b) From Win95: Choose DOS Game Launcher from the SpaceOrb start menu.
   2. If the game is not already in the list, choose Add/Remove Games, then add the game.
   3. If the game is in the list, select the game's name, then hit the ENTER key.

To run a Windows 95 game
------------------------
   1. Make sure the SpaceOrb 360 Monitor is in the System Tray (lower right corner of the screen)
   2. If it is not, run it from the SpaceOrb 360 start menu.
   3. Run the game as directed by the game's instructions.

        At the main menu, select "Options"

        Click on the game function, then press the desired button.

Assassin 2015

        WINDOWS 95: The easiest way to add a new player is to copy the "spaceorb.plr" 
        file that is in the game's directory to the name of the new pilot.
        For instance, copy spaceorb.plr to killer.plr for a pilot named "killer".

	
DOOM & DOOM II

        WINDOWS 95: In the "Doom for Windows 95 Launcher" screen, select the "Configuration" button at the 
        lower right corner of the screen. Then select the "Joystick" tab and choose "Spaceball"
        as the joystick. Select the "Advanced" button and select "Restore Defaults" and "OK".


DOOM II, Final DOOM & Ultimate DOOM for Win 95

        WINDOWS 95 NOTE: You must configure these DOOM games for the SpaceOrb to work
        properly. All Commercial Versions In the Doom for Windows 95 Launcher screen, 
        select the Configuration button at the & Some Shareware lower right corner of 
        the screen. Then select the Joystick tab and choose Spaceball as the as the 
        joystick. Select the Advanced button and select Restore Defaults and OK.
              
Duke Nukem 3D

        DOS NOTE: WHEN FIRST PLAYING THE FULL VERSION (not shareware), run setup.exe 
        in the Duke3D directory, select Controller Setup, select Choose Controller Type 
        and then select Keyboard + External. 
        Select Controller Setup, then select Change External Program Name and type in spwduke.exe.

        NETWORK PLAY: Select Add/Remove Game from the Launcher Menu and install the network 
        version of the game. You may then select Net DUKE from the Launcher.

Earth Siege 2

        NOTE: User must configure the game for both walking and flying modes. Select F12 in the 
        game and then select the Controls button. IN WALKING MODE the controls should be 
        Joystick = Movement, Throttle = Turret Elevation, Rudder = Turret Rotation. 
        IN FLYING MODE the controls should be Joystick = Throttle/Yaw, Throttle=Pitch, Rudder=Roll.
	
Earthworm Jim

        NOTE: Pull down the File menu and choose Properties.
        Click on the Joystick tab.
        Put a check in the Enable Joystick check.
        Click in each button text box, and press the SpaceOrb button you wish to map to the action.

Fury3 & F!Zone

        NOTE: User must configure the game so the SpaceOrb will work properly. 
        In the game choose the Options menu. Select Flight Control Options. 
        Choose Joystick as the Primary Flight Control. Auto Leveling should be checked. 
        SUGGESTION: Change the default button maps for Throttle Up/Down by choosing the 
        Customize Joystick button. Select Throttle Up: Button 4 and press Change. 
        Then, when asked, press the C button on the SpaceOrb. Repeat this process to assign 
        button D to Throttle Down. 

GEX

        Put a check in the Enable Controller box.

        NOTE: User must configure the game the SpaceOrb will work properly. From the opening screen, 
        set the Primary Game Control to joystick. Then choose Main Menu (before or during the game) 
        and then Options. Select Settings and then the Controls tab. Set the Primary Game Control to 
        Joystick. Auto Leveling should NOT be checked. Rudder Control should be checked.

Heretic

        Select Options in the game and then the Set Controls button. The controls should be as follows: 
        Steering=Joystick 1 Axis X, UNCHECKED=Use Linear Steering, Acceleration=Joystick 1 Button 1, 
        Braking=Joystick 2 Button 2, Shift Up=Key Control Pd8, Shift Down=Key Control Pd2, Reverse=Joystick 1 Axis Y.
		
MDK

        NOTE: To set up the game for the SpaceOrb 360:
        At the main menu, select "Options"
        At the next menu, select "Joystick"
        At the next menu, click on "Joystick Disabled" until "Joystick Enabled" appears.
        To configure the X axis, select the word to the left and click until "Sidestep" appears.
        To configure the Y axis, select the word to the left and click until "Neg. Move" appears.
        To configure the Z axis, select the word to the left and click until "Off" appears.
        To configure the R axis, select the word to the left and click until "Move" appears.
        To configure the U axis, select the word to the left and click until "Off" appears.
        To configure the V axis, select the word to the left and click until "Turn" appears.
        Click on the correct box according to which number button to assign to game function.

MechWarrior 2 & MechWarrior 2 Mercenaries

          1. While holding down the C button, push the PowerSensor forward to adjust throttle speed. Hit the 
             C button once to reset the throttle. 
          2. While holding down the D button, push or pull the PowerSensor forward or backward to adjust the 
             zoom factor . 
          3. While holding down the D button, push or pull the PowerSensor up or down to adjust pilot's view. 
             Hit the F button once to reset the pilot's view. 
          4. This game is not customizable and can only be run in HORIZONTAL mode. 
        NOTE (WINDOWS 95 ONLY): You must configure your game so that the SpaceOrb may work properly... 
        Choose the Options menu in the game and choose Cockpit Controls. Select Custom Configuration and 
        choose Load Custom 4 at the lower left part of the screen.

Monster Truck Madness
